AWANA

AWANA (derived from the first letters of "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15) is an international Christian organization founded in 1950, headquartered in USA.
By 1960, 900 churches had started AWANA programs. By 1972, AWANA began its first international club in Bolivia.
Today, children and youth in 117 countries (Dec. 2016) participate in AWANA programs and millions of adults are alumni.
AWANA gives children from every background and cultural setting a place to belong, build confidence and grow in Christian faith.
AWANA is also involved in prisons, refugee camps, slums and other hard to reach places around the world. AWANA aims to reach 10 million children with its message by 2020.

God is changing the world through the ministry of AWANA by equipping leaders to reach kids with the gospel and engaging them in long-term discipleship.
AWANA impacts and shapes the lives of millions of kids and adults worldwide through proven resources and expertise that help churches and families develop lifelong disciples of Christ.

Our AWANA is a boys and girls club for children pre-school to year 6 that meets weekly, on Sundays, at the School Small Hall. (No meetings during school holidays).

The programme, 9:15-10:15 a.m. is divided into:

  • Games - divided into teams
  • Bible memory
  • Bible story
  • Awards
  • Three age groups: 'Cubbies', 'Sparks', and 'TnT'
